Patrick Carroll is Fighting for a More Affordable Rockland County
Let’s Keep Him in the State Assembly
The Right Priorities for Rockland County
Democrat Patrick Carroll is a father, husband, attorney, and former Clarkstown Town Board Member who is now fighting for Rockland County families as our member of the State Assembly.
Patrick has been a fierce voice for taxpayers and has worked tirelessly to address the affordability crisis that our communities are facing, including passing laws to prevent unacceptable utility tax increases and taking on the data centers that drive up our utility bills and make life here unaffordable.
Patrick’s Record of Accomplishments to Make Rockland Proud
Making sure our schools receive the support they deserve
Cutting taxes and fees
Keeping our communities safe
Preventing reckless overdevelopment
Stopping data centers from increasing utility costs
Patrick Carroll
- While the federal government stripped away New Yorkers’ healthcare access, Patrick Carroll took action to expand insurance coverage, improve access to cheaper prescription drugs, and protect reproductive care like IVF.
- Patrick Carroll is tired of giant data centers getting a free ride. That's why he sponsored legislation to hold them accountable, making sure data centers pay their fair share for their energy usage and ending taxpayer subsidies.
- Patrick Carroll secured major investments in early childhood education and childcare – delivering universal Pre-K, free breakfast and lunch for all students across the state, and expanding childcare tax credits.
Brett Yagel
- Brett Yagel’s long history of antisemitism has cost Rockland taxpayers millions. As Mayor of Pomona, Yagel was accused of serious allegations of discrimination that led to a federal judge requiring the Village to pay millions of dollars in legal fees – leaving local residents to pick up the tab. The total cost to taxpayers was nearly $8 million.
- Brett Yagel doesn't have the personality or temperament to serve in the Assembly. The Rockland Times detailed a history of abusive behavior by Yagel when he was Mayor of Pomona. He was accused of taunting employees with nasty emails. He was so abusive, a member of the board of trustees resigned, calling Yagel a bully.
